  • Start your day at the Ribeira district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colorful houses and narrow streets. Take in the stunning views of the Douro River from the Ribeira Quay, and be sure to try some of the local port wine at one of the many bars and restaurants.

  • Next, head up to the São Francisco Church, a magnificent Baroque church with a gilded interior. Admire the intricate carvings and azulejos (blue and white tiles), and don’t miss the opportunity to see the Santo Ildefonso Chapel, considered one of the most beautiful chapels in the world.

  • In the afternoon, visit the Sé Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Porto. Climb the bell tower for panoramic views of the city, and explore the cathedral’s treasury, which houses a collection of religious artifacts.
